14th Annual Audre Lorde Cancer Awareness Brunch
The annual Audre Lorde Cancer Awareness Brunch is a celebration for women whose lives have been affected by cancer and their supporters. We gather together to connect with old and new sisters; to learn about cancer-related issues facing women; and to nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits. This year’s theme is Sharing Stories to Build Community: “Nurturing the creative parts of each other.” The event program will feature a keynote address by Dean Renée White of Simmons College, a performance by spoken word poet Ashley Rose Salomon and a presentation of Healthy Steps, an exercise and movement program designed for cancer patients and survivors.

The 14th annual Audre Lorde Cancer Awareness Brunch takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 at Fenway Health’s Ansin Building location at 1340 Boylston Street. Learn more and RSVP here.

PHILANTHROPY CORNER

Harbor to the Bay Saturday, September 15
Harbor to the Bay is now just a few days away, and this year’s 10th Anniversary Ride on September 15 is shaping up to be the most successful one yet. Over 75 riders and 35 crew members have committed themselves to supporting the work of Fenway Health by riding from Boston to Provincetown — together they have raised over $100,000! We are so grateful for their dedication to riding, fundraising, and making a difference for the 1,700 HIV-positive patients that depend on Fenway Health for their care. Harbor to the Bay is an all-volunteer event, meaning 100% of donations go directly to the participating beneficiaries. Your donation will directly support the many patients who depend on Fenway Health for quality health care, medications, support, and HIV/AIDS prevention education.
