Fenway Health has been serving the LGBT community and our neighborhoods for more than 40 years. Our goal is to provide everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or financial status with innovative treatments and compassionate care. Talk to a qualified professional about getting the quality care you need —whether you require a session with one of our supportive and knowledgeable HIV or STD counselors or need some sensitive questions answered by one of our nurses.
Walk-in services include:
- Rapid HIV testing—results in 20 minutes
- Generation 4 HIV antigen/antibody serum testing—results in a week-- this test can detect and HIV infection 14 days after exposure
- Rapid Hepatitis C Testing—results in 20 minutes
- Syphilis screening and treatment
- Linkages to medical care, treatment options, health insurance enrollment, financial assistance, and acupuncture detoxification services
For those who have no health insurance or who can’t use it, Fenway also offers the following services at the clinic, you must pre-book for these services by calling 617.267.0159
- Hepatitis A and B vaccinations
- Gonorrhea screening including urine, throat, anal swabs and vaginal swabs—and treatment, if needed
- Chlamydia screening including urine, throat, anal swabs and vaginal swabs—and treatment, if needed
- Treatment for symptomatic bacterial STDs and known exposures
- Assessment for herpes*
- Assessment for HPV symptoms (warts)
*Because of increased demand for STD services, you must pre-book your walk-in time by calling 617.267.0159. Walk-In patients without a reservation will be seen time permitting. If you have symptoms or a known exposure, the doctor can treat you immediately. HIV and hepatitis testing, as well as linkages to medical care, treatment options, health insurance enrollment, financial assistance, and acupuncture detoxification services referrals do not require pre-booking

Substance Abuse Treatment Program
Acupuncture Detox
For those who want to break the cycle of drug or alcohol abuse, Fenway offers acupuncture detoxification services on a daily walk-in basis during treatment center hours.
- Monday - Friday:
8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
& 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday:
9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
New clients will be asked to make an intake appointment prior to receiving services. These appointments are available Monday through Friday and can be made by calling the Behavioral Health Department at 617.927.6202.
After completing the intake with one of our counselors, the acupuncture clinic is available on a drop-in basis during listed hours without the need to make an appointment. For more information, click here.
