On June 23 and 24, 2011, The Fenway Institute with the University of Pittsburgh and sponsored by the Office of AIDS Research, NIH, hosted a ground-breaking meeting of 50 top HIV prevention researchers, along with key public health officials and community stakeholders, to discuss what we already know and what we still need to know about resilience in gay and bisexual men and how it can be harnessed for developing HIV prevention programs and research. The meeting ended with a discussion of what new variables we might use to measure resilience in future studies of resilience in gay and bisexual men.
