Fenway Health

Fenway Health provides primary medical and mental health care, and supportive services, that are sensitive to the needs of people who identify on the transgender spectrum.

The Transgender Health Program at Fenway helps to ensure quality and informed care for trans women, trans men, gender-queer, affirmed men and women, and others who have health care needs unique to gender expressions and identities that may vary from societally imposed expectations or norms.

Fenway provides supportive and sensitive care regardless of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, religion, or socio-economic status.

Goals of the Transgender Health Program:

  • Be a national leader in transgender health care
  • Enable excellent, comprehensive health care for all transgender and gender non-conforming clients
  • Transform the way transgender people receive care and lead the way in eliminating barriers to achieving maximum health and wellbeing
  • Ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful clinic for all transgender and gender non-conforming people to receive care
  • Collaborate with other clinics and organizations serving the transgender community
  • Provide high quality trainings and education to mental health and medical professionals
  • Conduct transgender-related research through The Fenway Institute

Fenway’s NEW Trans Health Program Patient Advocate is now available for walk-in 20-minute appointments on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Ansin Building, 1340 Boylston Street. She is able to help people find information, learn about resources, and figure out next steps for getting into care. If this time is not convenient, please call 857.313.6589 to talk on the phone or set up a brief appointment for help with information and care questions.

Feedback about the Transgender Health Program:
Please tell us about experiences at Fenway or with our staff that exceed or fall short of your expectations.  Your feedback can remain anonymous if you desire, though it is most helpful to have as much information about the situation as possible so that we may provide the highest level of response needed to correct or applaud the event. Please click on the following link feedback and provide all the information you have about the date and time of the service and the staff or provider(s) involved. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
